We found some wonderful treasures at an estate sale this week. We have rearranged the shop for all the new stuff. Stop by and see what's here. Also, all our linens are on sale for 25% off.

Observations from 55 N. Main

I love going for a walk in our small town. You know you live in a small town when you are just out for a walk and 47 people stop and ask you if you need a ride. Basketball goals face the street. Cars drive past you and the driver throws up his hand to say hello. People speak to you as you go by them. Directions are based on who you mutually know. ex: "Can you tell me where Susan Smith lives? Do you know where Mrs. Brown lives? Well, turn right just past her house..." You can stop and talk to someone who is working in their yard and they'll tell you all about their garden and will probably break off a piece of something you've admired for your own garden.
Stop by sometime for a cup of tea. Diane & Karen

Valentine Hearts!

We have the most beautiful mercury glass hearts that have come in just in time for Valentine's Day! Haven't seen anything like them around. Come in and check them out!

Observations From 55 N. Main St.

It's story day today at the library. The kindergartners from the Primary School are walking up to the library for storytelling. Miss Jill is our local storyteller and one of the best around. It never gets old for her. Storytelling has a rich heritage in these mountains. Apparently the topic this time was "socks". I'll have to call her and find out the rest of the story.
The kids love to go on these mini field trips.
Stop by for a cup of tea when you can. Diane & Karen
