January White Sale!

We are having a January White Sale until the end of the month. If it's white, it's probably on sale between 10-25% off.

Observations fro 55 N. Main St.

I love our small town. As I was walking around Lk. Louise this morning, I saw two cars going in opposite directions both stop and patiently wait while a group of ducks crossed the street. No honking(the drivers, that is); they just watched the parade and then went on with their day.
I got to thinking about how many things like that make up life in a small town.

Our shop is located at 55 N. Main St. in the small town of Weaverville, NC. We are just about smack dab in the middle of it all. We see the comings and goings of people all day long. Our front porch in the warm weather is a great place to watch the world go by. When it's cold, we can watch from our big windows out onto the street.
For example, one of our favorite pastimes is to watch people parallel park out front. Being close to the library, we see a lot of people park for just a few minutes while they run in to get a book or drop one off. One man, bless his heart, adjusted his vehicle 14 times (we counted)before he gave up and shut the car off. He was still about two feet from the curb, but he got out, returned his book and was on his way.

We'd like to tell you more about life in this small town if you'd like to read it. Stop by our blog from time to time and catch up on what's going on. If you're a local, or come here on vacation, stop by the shop for a visit and a cup of tea. Diane & Karen
